itel Hybrid Inverters — 1.5kW to 12kW
A hybrid inverter is the brain of a home or business power system. It takes power from the grid, from solar panels and from your battery, decides which to use moment by moment, and delivers clean AC to your circuits. "Hybrid" means it does not need solar to be useful — it will happily charge the battery from NEPA and act as silent backup from day one.
The itel range runs from 1.5kW for a small flat up to 12kW for large homes and light commercial loads, with three-phase models for industrial sites. Choosing correctly matters more here than in any other category, because an undersized inverter will trip and an oversized one wastes money you could have spent on battery capacity.

How to choose
Size for simultaneous load, not for everything you own
Add up only what will genuinely be on at the same time, then add about 25% headroom for motor start-up surges from fridges, freezers and pumps. A house full of appliances rarely runs them all at once — sizing for the worst case you will actually see keeps the cost sensible.
Match the voltage to your battery plan
12V and 24V inverters suit small systems. 48V is the practical standard for anything from about 4kW upward: it moves the same power at a quarter of the current, so cables are thinner, losses are lower and the battery range is much wider. Almost every serious home system here is 48V.
Check the MPPT input if you are adding panels
Each inverter has a maximum solar input (for example, 16kW of PV on the 8kW IPV-8K48T). That ceiling — not the inverter's output rating — is what limits how many panels you can eventually connect, so it is worth checking before you buy if you plan to expand.
IP54 versus IP66, and dual output
IP54 units suit a protected indoor location. IP66 models are sealed against dust and water jets for harsher environments. Dual output lets you split essential circuits from non-essential ones, so a lighting circuit keeps running when you would rather not power the whole house.

Before you buy
- An inverter alone does nothing — you need battery capacity to go with it, and usually panels eventually. Budget for the system, not the box.
- Air conditioners are the single biggest cause of undersized systems. A 1.5HP AC draws roughly 1,100–1,500W running, with a much higher starting surge unless it is an inverter-type unit.
- Kinbu Power supplies the equipment. Installation is carried out by independent installers we can introduce you to, and is quoted separately by them.
- Three-phase models are for premises with a genuine three-phase supply. If you are not sure what you have, check with your electrician before ordering.

Common questions
What size inverter do I need for a 3-bedroom flat?
Commonly 4kW–6kW, assuming lights, fans, a fridge, TV points and small appliances, with no air conditioning. Adding one 1.5HP AC usually pushes the sensible choice to 6kW. Our inverter sizing calculator will work it out from your actual appliance list.
Can an inverter work without solar panels?
Yes. Every hybrid inverter here charges the battery from the grid. You get silent, fume-free backup immediately, and you can add panels later without changing the inverter.
How many panels can I connect?
That is set by the inverter's maximum PV input rather than its output. The 8kW IPV-8K48T, for example, accepts up to 16kW of panels across two MPPT trackers — far more than most homes install at first.
What warranty do itel inverters carry?
itel powered units carry a manufacturer warranty, typically up to 5 years depending on the model. The exact term for your unit is confirmed on your invoice.
